Jealous wife expected to apply for bail

09 Jan, 2009 07:46 AM
An Adelaide woman who allegedly set fire to her husband's genitals and who's charged with his murder is expected to apply for bail today.

Prosecutors have told the Adelaide Magistrates Court 44-year-old Rajini Narayan confessed to neighbours she'd set her husband alight after learning he was having an affair.

It's expected she'll apply for bail when she reappears in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today pending results of a psychological assessment.

What a joke, if this was a man they wouldnt release him. Its not the intent but the result of the crime that needs to considered. Australian courts are becomming a joke with sexual equality, women get empathy and sympathy and men get harsh justice. Women get excused using mental illness or alleging they have been abused. There is no excuse for killing another human being.
