A man with a gun has held police at bay for more than six hours at a house north of Adelaide.
Police went to a Freeling house to investigate reports of gunshots about 10.30pm yesterday, and were confronted by a man with a gun, a police spokeswoman said.
The 29-year-old man refused to surrender to police negotiators until 5am today, the spokeswoman said.
The man was arrested and charged with endangering life, threatening life and firearms offences and was expected to appear in court later today.
